For Internet browsers that have the multi-tab feature (FireFox, IE 7, etc.) ONLY log into OSCAR once and have only one tab open. OSCAR does not support a tabbed browser interface and has been known to misdirect user commands between tabs when multiple tabs are open.

Not allowing multiple tabs makes OSCAR extremely inaccessible
Many of us are applying to dozens, if not hundreds, of clerkships. OSCAR is often very slow, and I anticipate that it will get worse as the clerkship-application season draws near. I strongly recommend that your staff figure out how to make OSCAR compatible with multi-tab browsing, as it will make the burdensome application process much quicker and easier. I don't see any reason why you would not be able do so, seeing as most websites support multi-tab browsing without a problem.
Tab Browsing
It is very complicated to implement tabbed browsing on OSCAR. OSCAR has been in use for several years and before tabbed browsing was as prevalent as it is today. While it is a convenient feature, I don't believe that it creates an undue burden.
